Forest View Residence

The existing mid-century modern home backs up to a deep, densely wooded ravine. Most of the Bathrooms, the Kitchen, and the Laundry spaces were original to the home. It also lacked an informal entry zone for off loading the days necessities. By re-arranging the entry sequence from the garage we were able to create a new mudroom and shift the laundry to a more convenient location. With the natural surroundings being so accessible our design goal at the Kitchen was to get out of the way and connect the soft forest scape with the heart of the home.
